Hello....Save all your files and and anything you need later, like pictures, Music and the re-stall Windows McAfee before you install anything else, and then have McAfee scan each program before you install it to make sure it free of Spy-wear or Virus and this way you know you have a clean hard disk, that is the only Safeway to do it.... also check any files or pictures you put back on your hard disk...okay.......have fun

More problems with my laptop?free spyware remobal

Make sure you have removed all of Nortons' Components, i.e.- Norton Antivirus, Symantec Live Update, I think there might be one more I'm not sure. If it asks if you want to remove the definitions check yes also. I have not used Norton for some time now because it bogs my system down quite a bit. I was able to uninstall it completely from the add/remove programs window. Then try to reinstall McAfee again.

I use Ad-aware Se Personal, Spy-Bot Search and Destroy, Ewido Antispy and Kaspersky Antivirus and Firewall. I have had absolutely no trouble with spyware or viruses.
Ok, save all your important files and reinstall windows.

then reload all the good stuff and stop going to websites that would give you spyware.
Tell me about it. NAV is a pain in the rear. Here follow this link. Symantec even have it's own removal utility. Just to be on the safe side make sure you create a restore point before running it.

Good luck.
